Anesthesia group performance monitoring
“Are we getting what the contract promised, quarter by quarter?”
A contract is only as good as the reporting behind it. Many hospitals sign a detailed anesthesia agreement and then see little data until the next renewal.
We build a scorecard from your own systems and the group’s reports, and review it with you every quarter. You see whether coverage, service and cost are on track, and you keep the record you need for the next negotiation.
What we look at
- Coverage delivered against the coverage grid
- First-case on-time starts and turnover times
- Cost per anesthetizing location over time
- Collections and payer mix as reported by the group
- The metrics your agreement ties to payment
What you get
- A quarterly scorecard with a short written summary
- Early warning when coverage or cost drifts
- A documented record for renewal or renegotiation
- Recommendations for adjustments within the current agreement
What we need from you
- The current agreement and its metrics
- OR system data on starts, turnovers and volume
- The group’s periodic financial and staffing reports
- A named contact in perioperative services
Questions
- Which metrics should we track?
- The ones the group can influence and your agreement names. We start with coverage, first-case starts, turnover time and cost per location, then add measures that fit your contract.
- What if our agreement has no metrics?
- We can still build a baseline from your own data. That baseline becomes the starting point for metrics in the next agreement.
- Is monitoring only for new contracts?
- No. It works for any agreement, new or old.
