Who we are, and who pays us
Fifth Party Consulting advises hospital and health-system leaders on anesthesia staffing, subsidies and contracts. We work for hospital administration and nobody else.
Our team
Fifth Party employs a group of physicians, CRNAs, experienced consultants and people with hospital administrative experience. We know how an anesthesia department runs from the inside, and how its costs look from the C-suite.

How we’re paid
Hospitals and health systems pay us, and only them. We take no fees from anesthesia groups, staffing firms or vendors, and we do not help anesthesia groups respond to hospital RFPs.
That matters because anesthesia advice is often sold by firms that also serve anesthesia groups or provide coverage themselves. Ask any advisor whose side they are on. Our answer is yours.
Why the name
Every anesthesia negotiation already has four parties at the table: the hospital, the anesthesia group, the surgeons and the payers. Only one of them signs the subsidy check. Fifth Party works for that one.
